Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Tong Xuan Hung, Commander of Regiment 95, said: On September 19, 1945, on the land of Quang Tri , Thien Thuat Squadron (the predecessor of Regiment 95) was established.

Over the 80 years of construction, fighting and development, the officers and soldiers of the Regiment have been brave and resilient in combat, proactive and creative in training, ready to fight and work, achieved many outstanding feats, and built the glorious tradition of "Solidarity - Resilience - Speed ​​- Boldness - Determination to Win".

With their achievements, the 95th Regiment, 5th Battalion and comrade Dinh Huy Phan were honored by the Party and State with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; hundreds of groups and individuals were awarded the Military Exploit Medal, the Military Exploit Medal, the title of Brave American Destroyer... Many comrades have developed to become generals in the Vietnam People's Army.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Major General Tran Dai Thang, Political Commissar of the 12th Corps, awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Regiment 95. This is the second time the Regiment has received this noble award.

On this occasion, Regiment 95 was also honored to receive a letter of commendation from the Minister of National Defense .

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tran Dai Thang praised the achievements of Regiment 95 over the past 80 years.

The Political Commissar of the 12th Corps requested that, in the coming time, Regiment 95 continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Party Committee of the 12th Corps; focus on doing well the work of political and ideological education, building cadres and soldiers with strong political will, high determination, ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks.

The regiment needs to coordinate with other forces to grasp the situation; promptly adjust and supplement documents and combat plans after organizing local governments at two levels; fully prepare forces and means to be ready to mobilize to carry out tasks, not to be passive or surprised. Maintain and operate training and exercises at all levels closely; focus on night training, mobile training, and training in modern combat methods.

Thoroughly grasp and well organize the implementation of breakthroughs, build a strong and comprehensive "exemplary and typical" Regiment; strictly maintain discipline, living, studying and working regimes; effectively implement regulations on military administrative reform; apply science, technology, digital transformation, ensure confidentiality, safety and savings.

The Regiment needs to focus on building and maintaining internal solidarity, military-civilian solidarity; closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and people to successfully organize emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to building a solid people's position, safe areas and strong organizations.
