Regular voter reports on preventing and combating corruption and negativity
Voter Dang Van Trung (Tan Quy ward) said that people are very worried about the recent violations of the law by officials, many high-ranking leaders of the Central Government have resigned.

Making a recommendation to the National Assembly delegation, Mr. Trung said that it is necessary to strengthen the rule of law and not reduce sentences for officials who violate the law.

"Currently, all provinces and cities have Steering Committees for preventing and combating corruption and negativity, but we must strengthen the activities of these Committees, have regular reports for voters, People's Councils of provinces and cities, and strengthen supervision of corruption prevention and combat," Mr. Trung suggested.

Voter Le Van Muoi (Son Ky ward) expressed his agreement that all levels and sectors are increasingly determined in the work of preventing and fighting corruption.

“People across the country are closely following this issue. However, I see that the Central level is taking drastic measures, but the grassroots level needs to be more determined to join the Party in the fight against corruption and negativity,” said Mr. Muoi.

Building a team of truly clean, dedicated and visionary cadres
Responding to voters' petitions, Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Duc, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security, said that the higher the leader's position, the more responsibility he or she has to set an example and recognize the responsibility of a leader when his or her subordinates or units violate the law or violate things that Party members are not allowed to do.

"The fact that you have submitted a resignation letter shows your sense of responsibility and self-respect," said Mr. Duc.

Mr. Duc also hopes that voters can rest assured because the authorities always strictly implement the Party's regulations, the Constitution and the State's laws in the fight against corruption and negativity.

"One of the principles of preventing and fighting corruption and negativity is that there are no forbidden zones, no exceptions, and that any such incidents, wherever or at whatever level, will be handled seriously," Mr. Duc added, believing that if this work is done well, in the future the country will have a team of truly clean, dedicated, and capable officials.

Regarding the recommendation that the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Matters should regularly report to voters and People's Councils of provinces and cities, Mr. Duc said that he would take note of this opinion and make recommendations to the National Assembly. Thereby, reviewing the annual report on anti-corruption and negative matter work in localities to see where it has not been done will require regular reporting.

Regarding the training of high-level officials, Mr. Duc affirmed that the Party has regulations for very careful screening of officials at all levels and has plans for each position at each level.

"In particular, the cadres planned for the next Central Committee's strategic level will be carefully screened and examined. These candidates will face challenges before voters, before the people, and before difficult problems in management and administration before becoming strategic cadres," Mr. Duc informed.
