Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry builds a bridge for Ben Tre people

This morning, May 19, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry coordinated with local authorities to organize the inauguration ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry Bridge in Hoa Thuan Hamlet, Vinh Binh Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry Bridge is a rural traffic project with a length of 54m, width of 3.3m, designed to be upgraded and expanded.

The project has a total cost of about 600 million VND, sponsored by the school, along with labor contributions from local people.

According to the leader of Vinh Binh commune, the construction of this rural traffic bridge started on February 16.

Although the bridge construction process encountered many difficulties due to erratic weather, with a high sense of responsibility and the joint efforts of the construction team and the people in the hamlet, the project was completed on schedule on May 10.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry Bridge will facilitate people's travel and transportation of agricultural products, especially during the harvest season with an output of 600 - 700 tons of fruit per year.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice Chairman of Cho Lach District People's Committee - said: "This project is the result of the connection and mobilization of the leaders and people of Cho Lach District, along with the active support of the school, especially Dr. Phan Hong Hai - the school's principal, who is always a pioneer in community-oriented activities and sustainable development.

Not only a traffic project, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry Bridge is also a symbol of humanity, community responsibility and sharing of aneducational institution that always puts social benefits alongside academic development.

At the inauguration ceremony, representatives of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Principal Phan Hong Hai for their practical contributions to rural transport construction, contributing to improving the quality of life of local people.
