On the evening of May 8, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education announced information on regular university enrollment in 2025 with notable admission regulations.

4 admission methods

The school's admission targets are candidates who graduated from high school in 2025. For candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 or earlier, the school will only consider admission when the candidate has a high school exam score in 2025 according to the admission combination or the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment score in 2025.

The school recruits students according to the following four methods:

Method 1 : Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and priority admission according to the school's enrollment plan, not exceeding 10% of the total general quota.

Method 2: Consider high school exam results.

Method 3 : Consider high school academic results (transcript).

Method 4 : Using the results of the competency assessment test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Priority points for admission: Region + Subject + School's enrollment plan: specialized school, gifted school; affiliated school with recommendation letter; priority school; priority school for admission to Binh Phuoc branch; provincial or city-level excellent student or science and technology awards.

Organize entrance exams for gifted subjects

The school organizes entrance exams for watercolor and sculpture drawing for four majors: fashion design, graphic design, architecture, and interior architecture.

Candidates register for the aptitude test (watercolor decorative painting, sculpture painting) at the website https://xettuyen.hcmute.edu.vn. Candidates can choose to take both tests.

Deadline for online application: May 27. Candidates can check their exam room and registration number from June 2 on the school's admissions page.

The exam will be held on June 9 and 10. The aptitude test scores will be automatically updated on the system when the results are available.

The school recognizes the aptitude test scores (2025 exam) of the following schools: Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts.

Candidates submit drawing scores according to specific announcements from the school, based on the enrollment plan of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school.

Admission requirements: all candidates nationwide, high school graduates, wishing to take the entrance exam to study one of four majors: fashion design, graphic design, architecture, interior architecture.

Priority policy in admission

Priority in admission is implemented by the school according to the regulations in the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and priority points are only added to the admission consideration for candidates who meet the threshold to ensure input quality (meet the necessary conditions for admission).

In addition to the admission priorities, the school also has the following incentive policies for candidates:

Awarding scholarships to successful candidates with a total score of 2025 high school exam (excluding priority points and bonus points) of three admission subjects from 26 points or higher, with each bonus point being 1 million VND. Each major will select one candidate with the highest score.

The first semester scholarship is worth 50% of tuition fees for female students in six engineering majors. The following semesters are based on the academic results of the previous semester to award scholarships.

Time: from May 8 to 5pm July 17.

Candidates wishing to be admitted to the school must provide appropriate evidence. If evidence is not provided within the prescribed time, the school will not add the school's priority points after announcing the admission results.
