Thuyloi University awarded diplomas to 1,156 new bachelors and engineers

Of the 1,156 students who received their diplomas this time, there were 341 new bachelors and 815 new engineers. Of these, 13 graduated with honors (1.12%), 69 graduated with honors (5.97%), and 535 graduated with good grades (46.28%). The percentage of students graduating with good grades or higher was 53.37%.

Most of the students have high academic achievements and always actively participate in movement activities. In this period, 227 students were awarded by the school (accounting for 19.64%).

The valedictorian is Nguyen Phi Phong, class 63KTPM2, Software Engineering major with GPA 3.85/4, studying one semester ahead, achieving the title of Excellent Student of the entire course. Phi Phong is also one of the first two students of class 63 to be recognized by the school as graduating and awarded a degree this time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu, Principal of Thuyloi University, reviewed the 66-year journey of construction and development of the school with many outstanding achievements, and at the same time praised and recognized the efforts of the new graduates and engineers.

Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu emphasized that the knowledge and skills that the new graduates and engineers have accumulated at the school in the past 4.5 years are basic and important foundational knowledge. However, the Principal hopes that they will continue to strive to improve their expertise, practice discipline and order to be worthy alumni of the University of Water Resources, continuing the tradition of the school's alumni.

“You graduated in the context of the world, regional and Vietnamese economies facing certain difficulties. However, I am completely confident that with the knowledge, experience, courage and skills you have been trained in the past years at Thuyloi University, you will be successful in the following years. The gates of Thuyloi University are always open to welcome you back when you return to visit the school and study at higher levels,” said Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu.

The Principal also hopes that new graduates and engineers will actively participate in the community network and alumni of the University of Water Resources; this is an important bridge between the school and other facilities and society. He emphasized that the school always hopes that students will return to give feedback to the school on the training program, training content, teaching methods and assessment to continuously improve the quality of training.

On behalf of the students receiving their diplomas, Nguyen Phi Phong, class 63KTPM2, Software Engineering major, expressed his gratitude to the teachers for many months of teaching, working side by side and accompanying the students.

“During the 4.5 years of studying, we have received many valuable lessons, not only professional knowledge but also how to be a good person, life experience and enthusiasm to live brilliantly. Those teachings, those valuable lessons, will be a solid foundation and a great source of strength for us to confidently step into life and face many challenges in life,” Phi Phong shared.

After 66 years of construction and development, Thuyloi University has been training 77 majors and training programs including: 15 majors for PhD level; 17 majors for master level and 45 majors and training programs for university level. Up to now, the training scale of the school is nearly 25,000 students.

In 2025, Thuyloi University will enroll 4 new training programs including: Integrated Accounting, Financial Technology, Semiconductor Technology and Microchip Design, High-speed Railway and Urban Engineering Technology. Among them, there are many training programs in cooperation with the US, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, etc. at different training levels.
