Colonel Nguyen Trung Hieu, Deputy Principal in charge of Army Officer School 1, said that during the 80 years of construction, education , training, fighting and growth, Army Officer School 1 received 9 visits from Uncle Ho, many letters of encouragement and praise, and directly awarded the flag "Loyal to the country, filial to the people".

Over the past 80 years, the school has trained 92 courses, of which 88 courses have graduated, providing nearly 120,000 officers for the army; training thousands of military officers for countries in Asia, Africa, America...

According to Colonel Hieu, more than 400 officers and soldiers who graduated from the school have become generals and senior officers holding important positions in the Party, State and army; 37 people were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and Hero of Labor; 14 people were awarded the title of Excellent Teacher...

Speaking at the ceremony, General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the school's outstanding results and achievements over the past 80 years. To meet the assigned tasks, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the school to focus on researching and effectively applying the Party's new viewpoints and ideas on developing education, training, science and technology; on building the people's armed forces, building the all-people national defense, and protecting the Fatherland.
