Extending the term of office of 2 Deputy Ministers of National Defense

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed and issued decisions to appoint and extend his term of office at the Ministry of National Defense.

Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to extend the term of office of Deputy Minister of National Defense according to regulations for: Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh was born in 1961, hometown Hanoi; professional qualification is Doctor of Military Science . He has held the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense since October 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong was born in 1963; hometown: Quang Tri province; professional qualification: Bachelor of Military. He has held the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense since October 2020.

The Prime Minister decided to extend the term of office of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army according to regulations for Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and member of the Central Military Commission.

Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang was born in 1965; hometown: Vinh Long province; professional qualification: Bachelor of Military. He has held the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army since November 2020.

The Prime Minister appointed Major General Tran Van Luong, Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, Vietnam Coast Guard, to hold the position of Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard. The term of appointment is 5 years.
