74 years ago, on November 11, 1951, in response to the urgent need of the resistance war against France, the Minister of National Defense signed Decision No. 132/QD to establish the Information School in Pieng village, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province. The school was established on the basis of merging the Inter-zone 3 Information School with training classes for information officers and staff of the Information and Communications Department.

After 74 years of construction, fighting, development and growth, more than 60,000 graduates from the school have made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and firmly defending the Fatherland. With such outstanding contributions, the School of Information Officers was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the Renewal Period, the Ho Chi Minh Medal and many other noble awards by the Party and State.

At the agencies, departments and units in the school, activities took place such as: Organizing for students to watch traditional films; sports exchanges in football, volleyball, pickleball and chess; organizing folk games; conducting physical training marches... In particular, on this occasion, the Party cells in the school's Party Committee organized a ceremony to admit 49 outstanding people into the Party.
