Chu Van An Secondary School received the Government's Emulation Flag

On November 20, Chu Van An Secondary School (Tay Ho District) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the CapitalEducation Sector, the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and to receive the Government's Emulation Flag.

Throughout its construction and development, Chu Van An Secondary School has always been a bright spot in education in Hanoi City. With a team of dedicated teachers and the constant efforts of students, the school has always affirmed its position in terms of history; leading the Hanoi Secondary School sector with many achievements in more than 100 years of dedication to Vietnamese education.

Chu Van An Secondary School has been honored three times bythe President with the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals. In addition, the school has also received many certificates of merit from the city.

Delegates, teachers, staff, parents and students performed the flag-saluting ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vu Hanh Nguyen - Party Cell Secretary, Principal of the school, shared: "Under the teaching of generations of excellent and dedicated teachers, many generations of students have succeeded in all fields, creating the reputation of Chu Van An Secondary School not only in Hanoi but also in all provinces and cities of the country. That is a special value of the school. Teachers of Chu Van An Secondary School all feel proud and responsible for preserving and promoting the tradition of the school.

To achieve that result, the Party Committee and the Party Cell of the school have seriously implemented Project No. 06-DA/QU dated March 22, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on "Improving the quality of Party Committee activities and Party Cell activities for the period 2021-2025" and Directive No. 24-CT/TU on "strengthening discipline, discipline and responsibility for handling work in the political system of Hanoi city", raising awareness of cadres, party members, teachers and staff in observing discipline and order.

The school board has been flexible, proactive and creative in management, direction and operation, especially with the task of innovating in organizing teaching and assessment of the 2018 general education program to complete the school year's targets. The school community has strongly innovated in digital transformation of school administration, in organizing teaching and learning activities.

The school always focuses on improving the quality of mass education and comprehensive education activities for students, not only providing students with cultural knowledge but also equipping students with knowledge and social understanding, raising awareness in all aspects.

In the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of students were classified as Good or higher, of which 99.6% were classified as Good; 70.36% of students were classified as Excellent/Good (4.46% higher than the 2022-2023 school year, exceeding 15.36% of the target at the beginning of the school year), 21.66% of students were classified as Good.

The school's 10th grade entrance exam results for the 2024-2025 school year ranked the highest in Tay Ho district, ranked 31st in the city (up 56 places) with an average total admission score of 39.73 points; the percentage of students passing the 10th grade entrance exam to public high schools was 89.35%; 138 students passed the entrance exam to specialized high schools (accounting for 25.6%), 24 students passed the Cambridge dual-degree program (accounting for 50%) and 17 students passed the French bilingual program (accounting for 70.83%). These results significantly contributed to improving the overall results of the Tay Ho District Education Sector".

In addition to the students' outstanding achievements, the school's teachers always have a sense of responsibility, constantly train and improve their professional qualifications. The school has 98.9% of teachers with qualified qualifications, of which 16.4% of teachers have qualifications above standard.

The school's teachers participated and many teachers won high prizes in the District and City-level Excellent Teacher Competition. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has 16 excellent teachers at the school level, 6 excellent teachers at the district level and 2 excellent teachers at the city level. According to the year-end emulation ranking results, the school has 18 Emulation Fighters and 94 Advanced Workers, 90.2% of teachers assessed the professional standards as Good, 9.8% as Fair".

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Le Hoang - Standing Deputy Secretary of Tay Ho District Party Committee, said: "Chu Van An Secondary School is trusted and assigned by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to organize the teaching of international training programs.

Over the years, the Party Committee and the School Board have always been flexible, proactive and creative in management, direction, operation, and innovation in teaching and learning methods. In recognition of the achievements of teachers and students of Chu Van An Secondary School in the 2023-2024 school year, on November 15, 2024, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1391 to award the Government's Emulation Flag to the school. On behalf of the District leaders, I would like to congratulate and commend the school's achievements.

In response to the new requirements of the Education and Training Department, in order to continue to maintain and improve the quality of education in schools, I hope that Chu Van An Secondary School will promote its achievements, continue to be proactive, flexible, creative, and pilot advanced teaching models.
