'Hanoi Documentary Week' celebrates 70 years of the capital's liberation

In addition to the news and columns on News Bulletin , Good Morning , and 24h Movement to promote the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, Vietnam Television has coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi to prepare to premiere "Hanoi Documentary Week on VTVGo ".

The production team spent a lot of time reviewing and selecting 20 outstanding documentaries produced by Vietnam Television , Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, Sao Khue Film Studio - Hanoi Cinema Association, and independent filmmaker: Mr. Jean - Noel Poirier (former French Ambassador), to premiere on the national digital platform VTVgo such as Hanoi Four Seasons, Hanoi Soul, Marking the Capital.... ; organizing exchanges with film crews and 3 films to be shown live at S7 studio - Vietnam Television on October 4, 5, 6; creating a media chain on airwaves, digital platforms and online newspaper vtv.vn to reach the largest audience.

Towards the historic October, Vietnam Television has produced 3 new documentaries: Our House (3 episodes), Where Peace Begins and Doctor Tran Duy Hung - A Hanoi Dignity . All 3 films are broadcast on promotional channels and participate in the event "Hanoi Documentary Week on VTVgo".

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) said: "With the desire to send to the audience meaningful stories and images about the land and people of Hanoi towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the capital, Vietnam Television has prepared and invested carefully in many key events, programs, TV series, and documentaries on VTV 's multiple platforms. Thereby telling the story of Hanoi in its long history with creative expressions, art exchange programs bringing unique perspectives".

Many special programs

Along with the Documentary Week are programs such as the special art and political program Hanoi - Epic of the City, bringing the audience back to the heroic historical milestones.

Song of Hanoi is an art exchange program, depicting the spirit of resilient and gallant Hanoians; a city of heritages, a sacred land; a place connecting the past - present - future, connecting generations through creativity in the field of literature and art.

Talk Vietnam - Four corners of the sky remember Hanoi is a special program with the participation of many foreign friends who have special feelings for Hanoi. The guests share stories about their deep love as well as their contributions over the years to make Hanoi more beautiful, cleaner, worthy of being the place where the quintessence of Vietnamese culture and tradition converge.

From the perspective of film and television filmmakers, the audience will follow two works on VTV . The setting of the film Dao, Pho and Piano depicts the fierce war period in the capital's streets during the war in late 1946 and early 1947. In the atmosphere covered by bombs and bullets, the people who stayed in the neighborhood still maintained an optimistic spirit, love for life, people and beauty.

Hoa sua ve trong gio is a TV series imbued with the essence of Hanoi, from the setting, story, props, character creation, and situations. The film aired and filmed in Hanoi's autumn, making the streets, alleys, coffee shops, benches by the lake... all bring many emotions to the artists when they transform into their characters. The previous generation of actors appearing in the film such as People's Artist Tien Dat, Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy, People's Artist Ngoc Thu, People's Artist Thanh Tu..., the beauty of the capital is interwoven in the stories of each family, each person, highlighting the culture of Hanoians.
