Exciting lion dance, aerobics, dragon boat racing to celebrate the new year

(HGO) - On February 5 and 6, at Xa No Park, Vi Thanh city, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the Hau Giang Province Lion Dance Competition (LSR) "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Giap Thin Spring" to compete for the Mekong Delta Cup in 2024 and the Aerobic Competition "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Giap Thin Spring" in 2024.

This year, the LSR provincial open tournament attracted 18 participating clubs, with 6 teams from the province and 12 teams from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho City, Soc Trang , Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang, Vinh Long, Long An. There are 4 competition events: dragon dance, time not exceeding 10 minutes; individual pole climbing lion (monk) without picking branches, not exceeding 6 minutes; lion on mai hoa thung and lion on dia buu, competition from 7 to 10 minutes each event.

LSR Nghia Tam Hoi Team (Hau Giang) won first prize in the Hau Giang Provincial LSR Open Tournament "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Year of the Dragon" competing for the Mekong Delta Cup in 2024.

As a result, in the dragon dance category, the first prize went to LSR team from Do Cong Tuong Temple (Dong Thap), the second prize went to Nghia Tam Hoi team (Hau Giang), and the third prize went to Tu Anh Duong (Can Tho city) and Mieu 7 Ba ( An Giang ).

Individual pole climbing lion (monk) without picking lucky branches, first prize went to Tu Anh Duong (Can Tho city), second prize went to Nghia Tam Hoi (Hau Giang), third prize went to Quan Thanh De Co Mieu (Can Tho city) and Chieu Duy Duong (Hau Giang).

Lion dance on the Mai Hoa Thung, first prize Nghia Tam Hoi (Hau Giang), second prize Tu Anh Duong (Can Tho city), third prize shared by Quan Thanh De Co Mieu (Can Tho city) and Tan Hoa Duong (Long An).

Lan Dia Buu, first prize Temple of 7 Ladies (An Giang), second prize Temple of Do Cong Tuong (Dong Thap), third prize Nghia Tam Hoi (Hau Giang) and Nguyen Trung Truc Temple (Kien Giang).

The first prize went to LSR Nghia Tam Hoi team (Hau Giang); the second prize went to Tu Anh Duong (Can Tho city); the two third prizes went to Do Cong Tuong Temple (Dong Thap) and Seven Ladies Temple (An Giang).

- The aerobic competition had 90 athletes (30 men, 60 women), from 8/8 districts, towns and cities participating in the competition. In the aerobic dance category, Long My district won first prize, Chau Thanh A district won second prize, and two third prizes went to Vi Thanh city and Long My town. In the cheerleading category, Long My town won first prize, Nga Bay city won second prize, and Vi Thanh city and Vi Thuy district won third prizes.

The aerobic competition with exciting background music attracted a large number of people to watch.

- In this year's provincial dragon boat race, the two men's team events, 400m distance, first prize went to Phung Hiep district, second prize went to Chau Thanh A district, third prize went to Vi Thuy district and Chau Thanh district. The women's team event, 200m distance, first prize went to Vi Thanh city, second prize went to Chau Thanh A district, and third prize went to Long My district and Long My town.
