In the last days of November, prolonged heavy rains caused many localities in Gia Lai province to be submerged in water. Tens of thousands of households were affected, many areas were flooded 1-2 meters deep, traffic was paralyzed, and life was disrupted. In the midst of these difficulties, the timely appearance of young forces, volunteer groups and youth union members gave people in the flooded areas the confidence to firmly overcome the difficulties.

Young armed forces mobilize to overcome consequences after floods
In recent days, the youth of Gia Lai Provincial Police have also become a support for the people. Immediately after the floods caused widespread inundation, on November 22, the Provincial Police Youth Union directed its subordinate Youth Unions to simultaneously launch activities to support the people, in conjunction with the 8th Green Sunday in 2025.

Youth union members and police officers were present in affected areas to help people clean up mud in their homes.
Immediately after the directive, many youth shock troops were formed. Youth Union members and police officers were present in the affected areas to help people clear mud from their houses, collect garbage, clear sewers, clean roads, schools, and office buildings; support home repairs, transport furniture, and bring necessities to needy families.
The police of communes and wards also coordinated with local forces to check landslide-prone areas and warn people to evacuate in time. On the morning of November 23, the entire force completed more than 50 key clean-up points, helping many households quickly stabilize their lives after the flood.
