Both have early tickets to the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian women's futsal tournament. The match between the Vietnamese women's futsal team (ranked 11th) and the Iranian women's futsal team (ranked 9th) is only to determine the first and second place in the group as well as determine the opponents in the quarter-finals.

In this match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang of the Vietnamese women's futsal team and coach Foruzan Solymani of the Iranian women's futsal team did not field their strongest starting lineup. Hai Yen, Van Anh, Lan Mai, Nguyet Vi and K'Thua were the first names to enter the match.

Perhaps that is why the coordinated attacks between the players of both teams did not bring certain results. The first half ended without any goals being scored.

In the second half, the game continued to be dull when the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a few dangerous opportunities but could not convert them into goals. On the other hand, Iran actively played low and seemed to have no intention of attacking.

In the end, the match ended with a score of 0-0. With this result, the Vietnamese women's futsal team officially entered the quarterfinals with the first place in Group B against the second place team in Group C. With the current situation in Group C, Vietnam's opponents could be Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.

If Thailand beat Japan, they will have 7 points and finish first in Group C and Vietnam will meet Japan in the quarter-finals. In case Thailand loses to Japan by less than 3 goals, they will finish second in Group C and face Vietnam in the quarter-finals.

On the contrary, if they lose to Japan by more than 3 goals, Thailand will fall to 3rd place and then Indonesia will be Vietnam's opponent.
