(NLDO) - After passing the group stage, the Vietnamese women's futsal team is actively practicing towards the important match with the Japanese team in the quarter-finals of the Asian tournament.

Having passed the group stage, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will face the defending runner-up, Japan, in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship. Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team are currently actively training, preparing thoroughly in terms of physical strength, tactics and mentality to achieve the best results.

Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "After the last match of the group stage, our team knew that our opponent was the Japanese team, a high-quality team. We had trained in Japan and played friendly matches with this team. They have a fast playing style, good technique and caused many difficulties for us."

Vietnam women's futsal team actively practices towards the quarter-finals

Immediately after determining the opponent, the coaching staff held a tactical meeting. According to coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang, the Vietnamese team can exploit the physical advantage as Japan just went through a tense match with Thailand.

"Mentally, they may also be affected after the 1-3 loss to the Thai team. We will take advantage of that," said Mr. Hoang.

To prepare for the match at 10am on May 13 (Vietnam time), the team had a practice session this afternoon coinciding with the official match time.

The content of the training session is focused on improving intensity, speed of play and strengthening the spirit, ready for the big challenge ahead.
