Tuyen Quang has heavy rain due to the weakening of low pressure circulation from storm No. 5.

According to the Tuyen Quang Province Hydrometeorological Station, on the morning of August 26, the tropical depression (weakened from storm No. 5) moved deep into the Central Laos region. At 7:00 a.m., the center of the tropical depression was at about 18.9 degrees North latitude; 103.9 degrees East longitude, in the Central Laos region. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (39-49 km/h), gusting to level 8; moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of about 20 km/h.

Forecast in the next 12 hours, the tropical depression continues to move in the West Northwest direction, gradually weakening into a low pressure area and gradually dissipating. This is also the last information of storm number 5.

Due to the influence of the northern edge of the tropical low pressure circulation, followed by the weakened low pressure circulation from storm No. 5, from August 26 to August 27, Tuyen Quang province had scattered rain, moderate rain, especially in the south of the province, there were places with heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall was generally from 20-60mm, locally over 80mm.

Localized heavy rains overload urban drainage systems, causing flooding in residential areas, urban areas and low-lying areas, traffic jams due to flooded roads and reduced visibility when driving, causing slippery roads and traffic accidents. Heavy rains in a short period of time can cause landslides in mountainous areas with steep terrain.
