Propaganda of legal policies on social insurance and health insurance

BAC NINH - On November 19, at the Provincial Conference Center (Bac Giang ward), the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in coordination with the Vietnam Social Security and Bac Ninh Provincial Social Security organized a conference to disseminate policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance to 200 employers and employees in the province.

The conference focused on conveying the core contents of the Party and State's policies and laws related to social insurance and health insurance; the responsibilities and obligations of employers and employees in fully complying with legal regulations. The role of social insurance and health insurance policies in the national social security system was also analyzed, especially the practical and comprehensive benefits for participants in the context of strong changes in the labor market.

One of the highlights of the conference was the introduction and dissemination of new contents of the Social Insurance Law No. 41/2024/QH15 and the amended and supplemented regulations under the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance (Law No. 51/2024/QH15). Changes in the Law on Employment (amended) were also informed at the conference, helping businesses and employees promptly grasp new policies to apply in the coming time.

The Social Insurance Law No. 41/2024/QH15 is an important step forward in social security reform. The law has many notable innovations such as: Perfecting the multi-layered social insurance system; expanding coverage to the informal sector; supplementing humane support regimes suitable for the integration context; promoting digital transformation and reducing administrative procedures for businesses... These changes not only affect the rights of employees but also directly affect the costs, human resource plans and development strategies of businesses.

Business representatives discussed common problems in the process of implementing social insurance and health insurance for employees.

The conference devoted part of its time to instructing employees and business representatives on how to use the digital applications of the Vietnam Social Security. The promotion of digital transformation is expected to help the administrative procedure settlement process become more convenient, transparent and effective for participants.

At the conference, representatives of the provincial Social Insurance agency directly dialogued with employers and employees, answering difficulties and problems in the process of implementing social insurance and health insurance policies.
