Legal propaganda for more than 1500 drug addicts

On July 28, Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 6, Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police organized a propaganda campaign on the law related to the crime of illegal drug use for all students at the facility.

At the propaganda session, 1,525 students undergoing drug rehabilitation at the facility listened to police officers disseminate the latest regulations on the crime of illegal drug use as stipulated in Law No. 86/2025/QH15 - Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Penal Code 2025, which was just passed by the National Assembly on June 25, 2025.

The amended law has added the crime of “Illegal use of narcotics” and those who illegally use narcotics in certain cases will be criminally prosecuted. It especially emphasizes the prohibited acts in the Regulations on internal regulations of Dong Nai Province Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 6; management and evaluation of learning and rehabilitation results; rewards and discipline; and visiting regime for relatives.

In addition, police officers also disseminate policies and regimes to support drug addicts, and encourage students to actively participate in labor therapy, vocational training, and behavioral rehabilitation activities.

This is a practical and useful activity regularly organized at the facility with the aim of providing students with knowledge. Thereby, raising awareness, awareness of law enforcement; skills, experience in preventing the harmful effects of drugs, actively practicing and treating in the facility's subdivisions to be determined to successfully quit drug addiction, not relapse when reintegrating into the community.
