On the morning of November 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center in collaboration with the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad organized a seminar on "Propaganda of law for Vietnamese people abroad".
Attending the seminar were Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center Nguyen Van Khanh; Chairman of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs (BAOOV) Nguyen Hong Hue; Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Van Thu; Head of the Civil Status - Nationality Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice Hoang Thi Huong Lan; Deputy Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Ho Chi Minh City Police Ho Thi Lanh; representatives of departments, branches, professional officers of the City Police and overseas Vietnamese in countries around the world ...
According to Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center Nguyen Van Khanh, the activity aims to strengthen coordination between the two agencies, improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, disseminate the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws to the overseas Vietnamese community and their relatives. At the same time, promote the role of the press and media in disseminating laws, helping overseas Vietnamese access official, timely and accurate information; better understand the policies and orientations of the Party and State in the new period; thereby effectively implementing the Project "Promoting resources of overseas Vietnamese to serve the country's development in the new situation" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1334/QD-TTg dated November 10, 2023.

Thereby, helping the Vietnamese community abroad better understand legal regulations, creating favorable conditions for carrying out administrative procedures when returning home. At the same time, contributing to strengthening connections, support and mutual understanding, towards effectively resolving legal issues that Vietnamese people living abroad are interested in.

Earlier, on the same morning, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center and the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). In which, the two sides agreed to cooperate to promote the role of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association in connecting, promoting trade, investment, cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam and other countries; at the same time, promote the role of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center as a bridge between press agencies, government agencies and related entities.
The memorandum of understanding clearly states that the two sides will coordinate to organize information seminars on the domestic and foreign economic situation, business cooperation and investment opportunities for Vietnamese businessmen at home and abroad; Activities to connect trade, investment and cultural exchange between the domestic and foreign business community; Organize activities to provide timely information on the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the business community and overseas Vietnamese community; Support the business community and overseas Vietnamese in activities related to press and media.
Through this cooperation, BAOOV Chairman Nguyen Hong Hue believes that communication activities and information support for the Vietnamese business community abroad will become increasingly effective and professional.
