Hong Kong U17 (China) kicked off the 2026 AFC U17 qualifying campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Macau U17 (China) at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
Coach Lo Chun Kit's team entered the game with enthusiasm, controlled the game and quickly made a difference with their fast-paced play.

The turning point came in the 19th minute, when Tunk Ki Lok Eden took advantage of a messy ball in the penalty area to finish accurately, opening the score for Hong Kong U17. The goal helped the red team gain more confidence, continuing to maintain pressure in the rest of the first half.
In the second half, U17 Macau tried to push up the formation to find an equalizer, but the Hong Kong defense played tightly and did not give the opponent much space.
In the 59th minute, Wong Sean appeared at the right time in a quick counter-attack, firing a decisive shot to seal a 2-0 victory.

This victory temporarily helped Hong Kong U17 rise to the top of Group C, creating an important advantage before the matches against Malaysia, host Vietnam, Northern Mariana Islands and Singapore in the race for a ticket to the 2026 AFC U17 Championship.
