Vietnam U19 women's team beat Timor Leste U19 6-0, players left the field in tears

(NLDO) - Vietnam's U19 women's team ended the second match of the Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship with a score of 6-0, but the match ended with a female player leaving the field on a stretcher in pain.

Entering the second match of the U19 Women's Southeast Asian Championship, Coach Okiyama Masahiko created conditions for reserve players, rotating 10/11 players in the starting lineup in the first match to be replaced. Nguyen Thi Linh was the only name retained.

Despite many changes in the lineup, Vietnam U19 women's team still completely dominated Timor Leste U19 to win 6-0. In particular, Timor Leste's net had to shake twice in 25 minutes thanks to Thuy Nga (22) in the 10th and 25th minutes before the match ended with a 3-goal difference.

In the second half, the Vietnam U19 women's team scored 3 more goals by Quynh Anh (minute 62), Nguyen Thi Quy (minute 77) and Hoai Trinh from the 11m mark (minute 85) to set the score at 6-0.

Despite the victory, the Vietnam U19 women's team encountered difficulties when Thao Nguyen (number 8), a mainstay in the midfield in the opening match, was injured after a collision near the opponent's penalty area, even though she had only entered the field from the bench at the end of the match.

This victory helped Vietnam lead Group A with 6 points, but it is not certain to reach the semi-finals. In the early match of the day, Myanmar also beat Laos 6-0 and currently has 3 points.
