Over the past few days, social media has been flooded with heartbreaking information about the historic flooding in the northern provinces, especially in the mountainous regions.
In the face of such suffering, many Vietnamese people have joined hands to provide both material and spiritual support, hoping to contribute their small efforts to help their compatriots overcome the difficulties after being devastated by Typhoon Yagi .
Besides some artists suspected of inflating charity donations for image purposes, there are still artists who genuinely responded to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to donate money with the hope of helping flood victims. Among them, Hoa Minzy stands out with a donation of 400 million VND, and the Quang Linh Africa team is confirmed to have donated 300 million VND... Singer Ha Anh Tuan also quietly donated 1 billion VND during the campaign launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union .
Besides donating money, many artists have traveled to the flood-stricken areas to deliver relief supplies to those affected by the storms and floods. Diep Lam Anh was present in Yen Bai to join the rescue team in personally delivering essential supplies such as medical equipment, blankets, and food to the flood victims. Soobin Hoang Son went to Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province, to directly hand over relief goods to the people there.
Actress Kieu Anh was also present in her hometown of Thai Nguyen to deliver relief supplies to the people. In Thai Nguyen, many areas were deeply flooded, so she and her team had to send food by floating it down the river or asking the soldiers to deliver it. After concluding her relief mission in Thai Nguyen, the actress will go to Tuyen Quang to deliver essential supplies and necessities to the people there.
Born and raised in Cao Bang – one of the provinces heavily affected by the recent storm – Miss Luong Thuy Linh was very worried about contacting her family. Due to landslides and severe flooding in many areas of Cao Bang, Luong Thuy Linh stated that she is always coordinating with local authorities to develop appropriate support plans. She also sent 100 million VND to the Fatherland Front Committee of Nguyen Binh District (Cao Bang) to assist the local government in supporting the affected people.
"Every day I see news about material damage, property losses, and fatalities, which makes me feel incredibly sad. But for damage caused by natural disasters, I always coordinate with local authorities to find appropriate support plans," Miss Luong Thuy Linh shared with Lao Dong Newspaper.
Actress Quynh Luong is also one of the artists who actively participated in calling on philanthropists to send food and essential supplies to people during these difficult times. She also used her private home in Tam Nong, Phu Tho as a shelter for students during the storm.
Actress Quynh Luong is constantly updating herself on the flood situation in Northern Vietnam so she can provide the most practical support possible.
