Priority admission for children of officials after province merger

On May 13, the Departmentof Education and Training of Da Nang City said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, has just issued a directive document regarding the reception of children of officials, civil servants, and public employees of Quang Nam province.

This was directed in the context of implementing the merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city into a new administrative unit, named Da Nang city, with the political and administrative center located in Da Nang city today.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city will preside over and coordinate with localities to develop a plan to receive and prioritize enrollment of children of officials, civil servants and public employees of Quang Nam province who are working at agencies and units subject to merger.

Admission will take place publicly, transparently, to the right subjects and according to the principle of creating maximum favorable conditions, especially for admission to grades 1 and 6 in the 2025-2026 school year.

Students who are children of officials, civil servants and public employees of Quang Nam province who want to move to Da Nang will be arranged into schools that are suitable in terms of facilities, class size and teaching staff; close to the residence or workplace of their parents.

At the same time, the leaders of the People's Committee of Da Nang city requested that teaching and learning be organized to ensure 2 sessions/day for primary school students; ensure appropriate number of students at all levels, avoiding overload.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city has sent an official dispatch to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province to compile statistics on the learning needs of children of officials, civil servants and public employees expected to work in Da Nang.
