On the afternoon of June 7, Huong Thuy Town Police (Thua Thien- Hue Province) said that the unit is investigating the cause of a traffic accident that occurred at a toll station on National Highway 1A passing through the area.
Initial information said that at around 1:20 p.m. the same day, Mr. Nguyen Phong Hai (born in 1972, residing in Phong Dien town, Phong Dien district, TT-Hue province) was driving a truck carrying soil with license plate 75C-135.26 on National Highway 1A in the North-South direction.
While preparing to enter the Phu Bai Toll Station (Km 844+150 of National Highway 1A passing through Thuy Phu Commune, Huong Thuy Town), the truck driven by Mr. Hai suddenly collided with a 7-seat car with license plate 37A-761.54 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van B. (born in 1985, residing in Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An ) that was stopped in front in the same direction waiting to pass the toll station.
Next, the 75C-135.26 truck continued to rush to the left, jumped onto the curb, and crashed into the cabin of the automatic toll lane.
Fortunately, there were no human injuries in the accident, but 2 vehicles and 1 automatic toll booth of Phu Bai Toll Station and the equipment inside were severely damaged.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
