Transporting high school graduation exam papers via the Ministry of National Defense's secure channel

According to the Minister of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam taking place at the end of June has many special features. This is the first exam under the new generaleducation program, while at the same time, it still has to be held in parallel for a number of students under the old program. This doubles the complexity of the exam questions and candidates compared to previous years.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is directing the Ministry to establish inspection teams to supervise the preparation work. The Ministry of Education and Training is also closely coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security in ensuring security and safety for the exam.

"An important new point this year is the transportation of exam papers. For the first time, exam papers will not be transported in the traditional way but will be transferred via the secure channel of the Cipher Department (Ministry of National Defense)," said the Minister. This is a huge change, overcoming previous difficulties, such as having to use helicopters to transport exam papers to Con Dao.

In addition to the exam, the Minister also reported on the progress of major projects such as the project to make English the second language in schools. The project has now been completed and will be submitted to the Prime Minister this week.

The Ministry of Education and Training has also completed and submitted to the Prime Minister the project to increase sending students to study abroad (especially in the former Eastern European countries).

The Ministry of Education and Training is finalizing the project to build boarding schools in difficult mountainous areas and is ensuring completion in June 2025.

Regarding the National Target Program on modernization and education development, the entire sector is focusing on building and committing to complete it in June 2025 and submit it to the National Assembly in October 2025.

Regarding teacher recruitment, the Minister said that the education sector is concerned that localities will recruit massively according to allocated quotas, leading to the risk of recruiting the wrong subject - such as needing a Literature teacher but recruiting a Math teacher. The Ministry of Education and Training requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to coordinate and direct to ensure recruitment quality.
