(QNO) - On the afternoon of May 7, in Da Nang, the 7th VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam Triathlon 2023 concluded after 4 days of fierce competition.
VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 takes place from May 4-7 with more than 3,000 athletes from 62 countries participating. The tournament is organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam under the direction of the Department of Culture - Sports of Da Nang and title sponsor VinFast.
The tournament attracted a large number of domestic and international audiences, and set a new record for the number of Vietnamese athletes participating: more than 1,200.

In the men's race, Mascarenhas-Keyes (UK) finished first with a time of 4 hours 15 minutes 12 seconds, 4 minutes faster than second place Alexey Vshivtsev (Kazakhstan). The reigning champion in 2022, Michael Cassinides (Australia) finished third.
The women's 70.3 race saw close competition in the swim, bike and run. Krisztina Vaczi (Italy) emerged as the champion with an impressive time of 5 hours 2 minutes 5 seconds. Bianca Marcon (Brazil) finished second and Lindsay Nickel (USA) third.
Nguyen Tra My - BIM Group 5150 Phu Quoc 2022 champion finished 5th in the first VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 tournament she participated in. This achievement shows that Vietnamese athletes are striving to achieve greater success in both triathlon in particular and sports in general.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong - Deputy General Director of External Relations of VinFast shared: "We hope that the image of IRONMAN athletes trying to accelerate on each race to reach the finish line alongside VinFast cars accelerating to conquer the electric vehicle industry will inspire global citizens to break the limits, live greener and healthier for a sustainable future."
On this occasion, Sunrise Events Vietnam announced the next event, BIM Group IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, which will take place for the first time in Phu Quoc ( Kien Giang ) on November 19, 2023.
