The 2023 Hai Phong Puppetry Festival is an event to preserve and promote the unique cultural and artistic values of traditional puppetry of the Vietnamese people, promising to bring the people of the Port City a unique spiritual gift to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation and the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2023.
Hai Phong Puppetry Art Troupe urgently practices to participate in the Festival.
The festival has the participation of leading puppet theaters in Vietnam: Vietnam Puppetry Theater, Thang Long Puppetry Theater ( Hanoi ); Ninh Binh Puppetry Theater; Quang Ninh Puppetry Theater; host team Hai Phong Puppetry Art Troupe; and the presence of ancient puppet troupes such as: Nhan Hoa, Dong Minh (Vinh Bao district)... with many genres: water puppets, string puppets, stick puppets, mask puppets, disguise puppets, foot puppets, belly puppets...
This Hai Phong Water Puppetry Festival will introduce unique cultural products to foreign visitors, helping them gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese cultural life and people, contributing to enhancing the spread and prestige of Vietnamese culture in the international arena.

The 2023 Hai Phong Water Puppetry Festival will be a highlight attracting the attention of the city's people and children, creating a useful and healthy playground and an opportunity for the city's children to understand more about their roots and the traditional culture of their ancestors.
The shows will be a fusion of puppetry and street art. For the first time, the public will be able to learn about the art form of puppetry, its history and creations, and experience it with the artists.
The festival takes place from May 1-7, at the City Exhibition Hall, No. 1 Nguyen Duc Canh (Le Chan, Hai Phong - behind the Statue of General Le Chan) and the Trumpet House, Nguyen Du flower garden.
The opening ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on May 2 at 1 Nguyen Duc Canh (Le Chan, Hai Phong).
