When mentioning rieu, people immediately think of field crab, but here, there is no field crab, so what does the restaurant use to make rieu? I would like to tell you, it is sea crab.
Bun Rieu Cua Oc restaurant located on Doan Thi Diem street in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city ( Ninh Thuan ) has been selling for 20 years, taking the motto of making the brand Bun Rieu Oc 5 no.
According to the owner, Ms. Tra, the reason she sells crab noodle soup is because she cannot eat field crabs.
“I want to take advantage of the products of my hometown. Here we have fresh crabs every day,” said Ms. Tra, adding that the flavor of the noodle soup she cooks is also seasoned in the style of the Central region.
A full bowl of vermicelli at the restaurant costs 50,000 VND, including vermicelli, broth, crab soup, various types of sausages... absolutely no tofu, blood, or pig's feet like the usual vermicelli soup bowls.
Ms. Tra said she doesn't add too many "toppings" like pork leg, tofu... because it will overwhelm the unique flavor of the crab soup.
The full bowl also has a separate bowl of stir-fried snail meat, which is eye-catching and has a fragrant aroma of satay.

Ms. Tra said that sometimes there are customers who do not like it because they are used to eating crab vermicelli soup, but on the contrary, there are also many people who really like the taste of crab soup at the restaurant.
Indeed, if diners can overcome the psychological barrier of rejecting "strange" noodle soup, they are very likely to be conquered by the unique flavor of the crab noodle soup here.
Take a sip of the hot broth, it's sweet, has a strange crab aroma, and is fatty and delicious, pleasing to the taste buds and sense of smell.
If looking for a flavor to compare, this bowl of crab noodle soup easily reminds me of crab noodle soup in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.
Not only that, besides crab soup, the bowl of vermicelli at this 5-no restaurant also has another interesting point, which is the orange-brown meatball inside, which can easily confuse diners about what it is.
The meatloaf has a sweet and fragrant taste, and is crispy. After taking a bite, you'll be curious to take a second bite.
Asked, I found out that it was mushroom patties. “I mixed white mushrooms with minced pork and seasoned them to match the noodles,” Ms. Tra shared.
The restaurant also sells crab and snail rolls in combos with crab soup, with cooking instructions for customers to buy and cook at home.
This combo is also frozen by Ms. Tra and shipped nationwide and even abroad, the shop owner said.
Currently, Ms. Tra and her husband are the main chefs. In addition to the facility in Phan Rang, the restaurant also has 2 branches in Ho Chi Minh City and 1 branch in Ba Ria - Vung Tau .
