On May 26, Vietnam Game Day - Vietnam GameVerse 2025 officially took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City).
The program is organized by the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information in coordination with VnExpress Newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Game Alliance, lasting until May 27, and is expected to attract 40,000 participants.
One of the notable points this time is the presence of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology - PTIT ( Ministry of Science and Technology ). This is the second consecutive year that PTIT has participated in the festival, as the only public university training unit, providing formal training in game design and development.
At Vietnam Gameverse 2025, Dr. Cao Minh Thang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Information and Communications Technology CDiT (Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology), shared in-depth information on the topic of cooperation between schools and businesses in training high-quality human resources for the Vietnamese gaming industry.
This is the second consecutive year that the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has participated in Vietnam Gameverse 2025.
According to Dr. Cao Minh Thang, improving the quality of human resources in the gaming industry needs to start with synchronizing training programs with production reality, enhancing practical experience, and promoting school-business cooperation.
He emphasized that in order to build a high-quality human resource for the Vietnamese gaming industry, not only good at expertise but also creative, flexible and responsive to changes in technology, close coordination is required between universities and businesses in the industry.
This is to ensure that students can study and practice in a practical environment, especially an international environment, to be ready to enter the labor market immediately after graduation.
Collaboration between schools and businesses can create a complete training – practice – research – application ecosystem. This process starts from jointly building training programs, implementing internship and practical programs, sharing resources and experts, and promoting research and startups.
The Vietnamese gaming industry is growing strongly, the number of domestically produced games is increasing and the position of Vietnamese developers in the international market is gradually being affirmed.
"However, to truly grow and develop sustainably, the Vietnamese gaming industry needs high-quality, international-class human resources. And to soon have this force, the connection between universities and businesses is one of the decisive factors" - Dr. Cao Minh Thang said.
Within the framework of the Vietnam Gameverse 2025 festival, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology received a Game Technology practice room from iKame Global Joint Stock Company - the academy's strategic partner; and also held a cooperation signing ceremony with Funtap Joint Stock Company, a major game publisher and developer in Vietnam.
