Launching the Danang-China Greater Bay Area Innovation Space

NDO - On May 29, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City and the Da Nang Center for Supporting Startups and Innovation organized the launch of the Da Nang-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (China) Innovation Space.

The space is located at Enosta Space, 280-282 Tran Hung Dao (Son Tra district, Da Nang city).

This will be a new strategic connection, creating favorable conditions for startups to access markets, resources, technology and investment opportunities from partners in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau (China).

Mr. Jesse Choi - General Director of Sunwah Group Southeast Asia, Executive Director of Sunwah Innovations - Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (China) Vietnam chapter informed: The Greater Bay Area is considered one of the most dynamic and integrated economic regions in the world, with a population of over 86 million people and a total GDP exceeding 2,000 billion USD.

Each city in the Greater Bay Area has its own unique strengths, creating a comprehensive support network that promotes rapid commercialization of ideas – from lab to market.

Mr. Jesse Choi shared: “The space is expected to become an important bridge between the Da Nang innovation ecosystem and the Greater Bay Area, one of the world's leading dynamic technology and innovation clusters, including Hong Kong (China), Macau (China) and 9 key cities of Guangdong province such as: Shenzhen, Guangzhou”.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance also said that this May, a representative from Da Nang will attend a financial training program organized and sponsored by the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC).

This week, the Space will welcome a delegation of nearly 20 experts and startups from Hong Kong Polytechnic University to explore cooperation opportunities with the Da Nang ecosystem.

In recent years, Da Nang has identified science, technology and innovation as one of the strategic development pillars. The city always accompanies investors, businesses and the city's innovation ecosystem, creating favorable conditions in terms of institutions, infrastructure and resources to promote the development of innovative startups and sustainable growth.

Ms. Le Thi Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City emphasized: “We believe that the Space will become a strategic destination for technology businesses, international investors, and regional creative ideas.”

This is the third Innovation Space to be launched after Da Nang-Seoul; Da Nang-Singapore. The establishment of this Space not only expands the city's international cooperation network, but also continues to affirm the effectiveness and practicality of the orientation of developing an international cooperation model in the field of innovative startups.
