From a modest number of 92,000 cards in 2018, after only 7 years, VIB has grown 10 times, reaching the milestone of 1 million credit cards in August 2025. By the end of 2024, VIB will rise to account for nearly 7% of the market share of credit cards in circulation and nearly 7% of the market share of newly opened cards in the whole industry (according to data from the Vietnam Bank Card Association as of December 31, 2024).

By the end of August 2025, total spending via VIB cards grew by 80% compared to the end of 2024, an increase of 18 times compared to 2018. In the first 9 months of 2025, there were a total of 31 million transactions via VIB cards. The average monthly spending per card reached 15.2 million VND (this level in 2018 was 7.6 million VND).
VIB currently accounts for 12% of the card spending market share in Vietnam. VIB's average spending per card is 50% higher than the market (according to data from the Vietnam Bank Card Association as of December 31, 2024).
