On November 30, Lam Dong Province Department of Health requested medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to review all ambulances under their management; ensure that only licensed and registered vehicles are used, and that they are labeled with logos, phone numbers, names of the managing units, and operating license numbers... according to regulations.
These facilities are requested not to contract, associate or allow individuals or organizations to arbitrarily use the names "ambulance", "zero-cost ambulance", "volunteer vehicle" without a license and without ensuring the conditions according to regulations.

The Department of Health also requested that medical examination and treatment facilities arrange medical staff with professional qualifications and a license to practice in the field of medical examination when transporting patients. In case of detecting fake "ambulances", "zero-dong ambulances", or "volunteer vehicles" entering and leaving medical examination and treatment facilities, the health sector requested that medical examination and treatment facilities report the incident to the police.
Lam Dong province's health sector also strictly prohibits officials, employees, and workers in the sector from colluding, brokering, leading, or facilitating disguised ambulances to operate in the unit's medical examination and treatment areas.
For patient transport businesses in the province, Lam Dong Department of Health recommends that they strictly comply with regulations on conditions, technical standards, and equipment; do not use ambulances for normal transport purposes or other services; and strictly prohibit the use of priority signals when not performing tasks.
Lam Dong province's health sector also requested communes, wards and Phu Quy special zone to propagate and guide people to identify and use legal patient transport services; and recommend people to use transport services from licensed medical facilities.
Lam Dong Department of Health requested the Traffic Police Department and Lam Dong Provincial Police to strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of using signs, sirens, and priority lights similar to ambulances, but without being licensed by the Department of Health according to regulations.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health, the tightening of management of cars with signs "ambulance", "zero-dong ambulance", "volunteer car" comes from the fact that this unit has received many comments reflecting on the situation of the above vehicles operating in violation of regulations. Moreover, these vehicles are not under the management and licensing authority of legal medical examination and treatment facilities; there are signs of collecting hidden fees; using lights, sirens, and illegal priority signals, causing public outrage and affecting the image of the health sector.
