To optimize convenience, check-in procedures are held right at Tan Son Nhat Convention Center (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City), with free shuttle bus service to the port. The methodical organization from the inner-city transfer point shows professionalism and efforts to renew the cruise tourism model in Vietnam.
Star Voyager is a newly upgraded ship with a cost of more than 50 million USD. Passengers will be able to stay in rooms ranging from Standard to high-class Palace Suite with 24/7 butler service, while enjoying free culinary space, entertainment facilities and many unique cultural and artistic activities.
The ship's opening ceremony took place at Phu My Port with the presence of Mr. Do Phuoc Trung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Mr. Michael Goh - Chairman of StarDream Cruises and many representatives of the tourism industry.
“Choosing Ho Chi Minh City as the home port is a strategic move to turn Vietnam into a new cruise tourism hub in Southeast Asia,” Mr. Michael Goh emphasized, while sharing his vision for developing a tourism model combining air and cruise in the region.
During the cruise, guests will have two days to experience the onboard facilities and one day to visit Singapore. The ship docks at the Singapore Cruise Centre - right next to HarbourFront Centre and VivoCity, making it easy for passengers to explore prominent destinations such as Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park, Orchard Road or cultural districts such as Chinatown and Little India.
After a day of exploring the lion island, Star Voyager will return to Ho Chi Minh City, ending the journey on day 5.
Star Voyager's journey not only marks a historic event for Vietnam's cruise industry, but also opens a new door for world-class vacations from right at home.
