Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang.
"This is not the first time this organization has made slanderous and prejudiced statements with bad intentions aimed at Vietnam, plotting to sabotage Vietnam's socio-economic development and dividing Vietnam from the international community," the Spokesperson said.
Vietnam's efforts, determination and achievements in ensuring basic human rights have been demonstrated through actual socio-economic development results, which have been widely recognized and highly appreciated by the people and international friends.
Previously, Vietnam has repeatedly spoken out against false information about human rights policies in Vietnam.
At the high-level event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights held in Geneva, Switzerland on December 12, 2023, Vietnam and other countries affirmed their policy of promoting the implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through specific commitments.
In particular, Vietnam's commitments are regular and continuous commitments, demonstrating Vietnam's unceasing efforts in protecting and promoting human rights, in line with Vietnam's consistent policy in this field.
Vietnam's consistent policies on respecting and ensuring human rights as well as freedom of belief and religion of the people are clearly reflected in the 2013 Constitution of Vietnam and the legal system of Vietnam and are also guaranteed to be respected in practice. Vietnam's efforts and achievements in ensuring human rights, including freedom of belief and religion, have been recognized by the international community.
