After owning the exclusive rights to commercial exploitation and distribution of the FIFA Women's World Cup broadcasting copyright on television systems, OTT, mobile networks, IPTV, and public screening in Vietnam, VMG Media and Vietnam National Assembly Television reached an agreement to broadcast the matches of the Vietnam women's team and matches at the tournament. Thus, Vietnamese fans can watch coach Mai Duc Chung and his team compete live at the 2023 Women's World Cup on channel 7 of Vietnam National Assembly Television. In addition, VTVcab is the unit that coordinates the production of the matches.

Sharing about the decision to participate in the field of football copyright, Mr. Luong Minh Tuan, General Director of VMG Media said: “The female warriors of the Golden Star have steadfastly overcome many difficulties to make history by entering the world- class football tournament. Therefore, VMG Media has decided to own the copyright to bring the historical image of Vietnamese football at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup to football-loving audiences across the country. We hope that fans across the country will give more strength to our golden girls.”

For the first time in history, the Vietnamese women's football team has qualified for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are one of six Asian representatives, along with China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Australia, participating in the most prestigious tournament on the planet.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals will feature 32 teams, divided into eight groups of four teams each, with a total of 64 matches to be played in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, 2023. Ten venues will be set up in the two countries, with four in New Zealand and six in Australia.

Present at the announcement ceremony, Coach Mai Duc Chung shared: “For the first time in history, Vietnam will be standing together with the world's top 32 women's teams at the 2023 World Cup, and it is even more meaningful when we have the support of fans through live television. The Vietnamese national anthem resounding to the world is a very proud thing. The whole team will always be united and determined to show the Vietnamese spirit at this tournament.”

President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized the "fairy tale" journey of Vietnamese women's football with the miracle of winning a ticket to the 2023 World Cup. The girls have overcome all difficulties, are resilient and strong to create a historical mark for the country's football.

Briefly sharing about the team’s determination before leaving for the tournament, captain Huynh Nhu affirmed: “The attention of fans, leaders and the media has brought great motivation to the whole team. The female players will be determined to bring the best images of Vietnamese football and Vietnamese women to this tournament.”

From June 5 to 25, the women's team will train in Germany and Poland. The team will have 3 friendly matches with Eintracht Frankfurt (June 10), Short Mainz (June 15), and the German women's team (June 24). According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will meet the US team (the reigning world champions) on July 22, Portugal on July 27, and the Netherlands on August 1.
