Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan signed a Government-level agreement on cooperation in the field ofeducation during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic to Vietnam.
At the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , for 2 days (March 6 and 7), Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Adylbek Kasimaliev paid an official visit to Vietnam.

During the visit, Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Kyrgyz Minister of Education and Science signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education on behalf of the two governments.
According to the Agreement, the two countries focus on traditional and priority cooperation activities such as: Information exchange; participation in conferences and seminars; encouraging cooperation between higher education institutions; encouraging academic exchanges, joint scientific research, state science programs; student exchanges; encouraging each other's citizens to study in each country; granting each other scholarships under the Agreement for undergraduate and master's training with 10 scholarships per year.

The new highlight of the newly signed document is the regulation on the readiness to receive each other's citizens to study under the Agreement, which can be in the language of the destination country, English or Russian, in accordance with the reality and needs of the learners. At the same time, it creates favorable conditions and creates competition and attractiveness of the scholarship program in each country during the enrollment process.
The cooperation document on education signed during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic to Vietnam this time marks an important historical milestone, opening a new phase of cooperation in the field of education and training between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan after decades of interruption.
