To meet the increased travel demand during the 2025 Lunar New Year, Vietnam Airlines will lease 3 more Airbus A320 aircraft from January 13 to February 2.
These aircraft were delivered to Vietnam Airlines under a wet lease (including flight crew). Of these, two aircraft landed at Tan Son Nhat on the afternoon of January 10 and one will land on January 13.
Vietnam Airlines has just leased two more Airbus A320 aircraft to serve the 2025 Lunar New Year.
The additional aircraft have a capacity of 180 passengers, operating on routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi , Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, and Chu Lai. These aircraft will contribute about 75,000 seats, equivalent to more than 400 flights during this year's Tet holiday.
On the flight, passengers are served by Vietnam Airlines flight attendants and international flight attendants, with service quality according to the airline's standards (except for the entertainment system and some technical specifications of the seats).
The aircraft leasing is part of Vietnam Airlines' plan to provide more than 2.15 million seats on domestic flights, equivalent to more than 11,000 flights to serve people returning home for Tet and spring travel.
Vietnam Airlines' new wet-leased aircraft will contribute about 75,000 seats, equivalent to more than 400 flights during this year's Tet holiday.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines received 3 new aircraft in December 2024, including 2 Airbus A320neo aircraft and 1 Boeing 787-10 wide-body aircraft. With the wet leasing of additional A320 aircraft, the airline has prepared a fleet of more than 100 aircraft to serve passengers during the Lunar New Year 2025.
The addition of new aircraft by Vietnam Airlines at the end of the year not only meets the increasing travel needs of passengers, but also contributes to improving service quality, bringing a comfortable and modern experience to passengers.
