(PLVN) - On May 10 and 11, 2025, at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) organized a series of large-scale events to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh associated with the "greening" program and digital transformation of the chemical industry.

In the central space, the photo exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh and the Chemical Industry – Memories and Beliefs” displays precious documentary photos marking the 5 times the beloved leader of the nation visited the member units of the Group. The exhibition brings touching historical moments of Uncle Ho's visits to chemical factories and enterprises – the predecessor of today's Vinachem, such as the image of Uncle Ho shaking hands to encourage workers at Lam Thao Super Phosphate Factory in 1959, or the time he visited Van Dien Battery Factory in 1964 (now Van Dien Battery Company)...

Notably, on the morning of May 10, within the framework of the series of events, the launching ceremony of the campaign "Greening - Digital transformation of the chemical industry" and the launch of a set of consumer products took place.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phung Quang Hiep – Chairman of Vinachem’s Board of Members – emphasized the importance of sustainable development in the new period. “Green transformation is not a temporary trend, but an inevitable development path of the Vietnamese chemical industry. Vinachem is strongly committed to applying advanced technology, minimizing environmental impacts and improving product quality to serve people’s lives” – Mr. Hiep affirmed.

At the same time, Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) officially launched the VinachemMart e-commerce platform with the Vinachem consumer products. The Vinachem consumer products introduced by Vinachem this time include 8 national brands that have been associated with many generations of Vietnamese people for nearly 70 years. These are all typical member units of Vinachem such as Casumina, Pinaco, Sao Vang Rubber, Lix... The products are divided into three main industry groups, meeting the essential needs in daily life, including household chemicals, Batteries; Tires and tubes. Each industry group has its own characteristics and strengths, at the same time demonstrating Vinachem's "green" and high-quality orientation.

This event marks an important turning point, demonstrating the spirit of innovation, digital transformation and “greening” of the Vietnamese chemical industry in the new period. This is also the first time that a national chemical corporation in Vietnam has proactively built its own online sales channel, opening a new direction for the chemical industry in the digital age.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu - General Director of Vinachem, said that the launch of the VinachemMart e-commerce platform and the new consumer product line not only helps people easily access Vinachem's goods, but also affirms the Group's determination to digitally transform business.

“We expect VinachemMart to directly connect manufacturers with consumers, cutting out intermediaries, thereby bringing reasonable prices and convenient experiences to customers,” Mr. Tu shared. In addition, Vinachem also focuses on greening consumer products, aiming to use environmentally friendly packaging and recyclable materials in new product lines.
