Honored 15 awards in 7 categories

This is the first year the award has been launched, chaired by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) and managed by the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA), to recognize and honor the contributions of organizations and individuals in creating content products with cultural andeducational values, spreading positive values to the community, aiming to contribute to promoting the development of the digital content industry, the film industry, and the cultural industry of Vietnam, spreading digital content products "Make in Vietnam".

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of VDCA, Head of the Organizing Steering Committee, said that the VCA 2023 award actively supports the development of the digital content industry, thereby contributing to promoting the cultural industry and certainly contributing to the development of the digital economy in Vietnam.

With the strong development of the Internet, digital platforms and cross-border intermediary service platforms are pushing the digital content industry to become a prominent development trend globally, including Vietnam, such as digital movies, digital photos, digital music, online games, game shows, interactive content, online education, online sports , digital advertising, etc.

After nearly 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee recorded 256 entries in 7 categories, of which the best animated film category received the most attention with 99 entries. From 77 entries that entered the preliminary round, 44 entries were selected for the final round, from which 15 entries were found to be officially awarded in 7 categories; 29 entries were awarded certificates and were voted into the final round.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Preliminary Council, the entries from businesses, organizations and individuals are diverse in age (from 19 to 40), from many localities, especially including Vietnamese people working in the US, Germany, and Africa; the topics are very diverse such as advertising for brands, tourism, music, education, comedy, animation... with many creative contents, images and sounds, and language of expression.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairman of the VCA 2023 Final Jury, shared: “The potential of the digital content industry is indisputable because it is truly exploding. In an era where there are so many digital content products being released, we need to improve product quality and provide more professional direction for producers. Therefore, competitions and awards like VCA 2023 will help content creators pay more attention to the quality and value of their products. I hope that the award will be increasingly widespread and raised to a new level each year, contributing to the Vietnamese digital content production industry becoming a spearhead industry, bringing many economic, cultural and educational values.”
