This afternoon, August 15, the Organizing Committee of the Program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" coordinated with relevant agencies to organize a rehearsal of the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

This is an event jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection August 19.

Through the program, the leaders of the units highly appreciated the initiative and responsibility of the forces. Currently, all preparations are being closely and thoughtfully coordinated, ensuring the necessary conditions for organizing the activities taking place tomorrow morning, August 16.

In particular, Vinh Long Provincial Police, as the standing agency, has proactively developed a detailed plan to assign and arrange forces and means to ensure security and order; propaganda and agitation work has been deployed to create a widespread impact on this meaningful activity.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Thai, Deputy Head of the Political Affairs Department of Vinh Long Provincial Police, member of the Organizing Committee, said: “As a standing agency, the unit has advised the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors to closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and agencies to mobilize forces, arrange equipment and means for activities to take place on schedule.

In addition, the staff unit organized and deployed forces and vehicles to ensure security, order, traffic safety, and absolute safety during the event. Vinh Long is ready for the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

The program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" will take place simultaneously nationwide, starting from 6:00 to 7:30 tomorrow morning, August 16, with over 200,000 people expected to participate with the goal of 1 billion steps in 1 hour.

In Vinh Long, this activity attracted over 5,000 people including civil servants, public employees, armed forces, people from all walks of life, and students. The program was also connected online to all communes and wards in Vinh Long province.

All participated in the Flag-Salute Ceremony and sang the National Anthem at 6:00 a.m. on August 16, following the time of the National Flag-Raising Ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, to create a solemn and sacred atmosphere, expressing patriotism and practical national pride to celebrate the country's important anniversary.

The national walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" not only aims to arouse patriotism and the will to rise of the nation but also promotes the sports movement, responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
