On the afternoon of November 11, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam led by Mr. ITO Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, who visited, worked and discussed cooperation contents with the province. Welcoming Mr. ITO Naoki and the delegation of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam to visit and work, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong shared that Japanese enterprises are investors who have been associated with Vinh Phuc since the early days of the province's re-establishment, making great contributions to import and export, budget revenue, job creation and local economic development, contributing to the overall growth of the country.
Currently, Japan ranks second in both the number of investment projects and registered capital in the province with 75 projects, totaling over 1.9 billion USD. Most of the investment projects have been successful and have continuously expanded their production scale.
The cooperative relationship between Vinh Phuc province and Japanese localities, partners, organizations and enterprises has continuously developed strongly, extensively and effectively in many fields including economy, culture, foreign affairs, people-to-people exchange, etc.

Thanking the warm welcome of the provincial leaders and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong, ITO Ambassador Naoki highly appreciated the business investment environment of Vinh Phuc province as well as the attention, leadership, direction, and creation of all favorable conditions of the province for Japanese enterprises to successfully invest and do business.
Ambassador ITO Naoki hopes that in the coming time, the province will continue to focus on promoting administrative reforms; ensuring stable power sources for production; supporting businesses using solar power; strengthening preventive solutions, minimizing negative impacts on the environment, preventing floods to protect production... creating favorable conditions for production and business of Japanese enterprises in particular, and enterprises investing in Vinh Phuc in general.

Sharing about the province's development orientations in the coming time, focusing on implementing the directions of General Secretary To Lam on 7 strategic orientations to bring the country into a new era, the era of national development; at the same time striving to build Vinh Phuc to meet the criteria of a class I urban area by 2030, becoming a centrally-run city in the following years, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong affirmed that Vinh Phuc province will continue to synchronously deploy accompanying solutions to remove difficulties, create favorable conditions for production and business enterprises; focus on promoting digital transformation, simplifying administrative procedures to the maximum, enhancing investment promotion, promoting the development of digital economy, green economy, and circular economy according to the general direction of the Central Government.
Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Embassy of Japan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong said that Vinh Phuc has been implementing solutions to ensure good electricity supply for production, prevent flooding, reform administrative procedures, etc. The province is committed to supporting, accompanying, and creating the most favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises as well as domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong hopes that Ambassador ITO Naoki will discuss specifically with Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company and Honda Vietnam Company, soon have a specific roadmap to convert vehicle production from gasoline engines to hybrid engines to implement the policy of the Vietnamese Government on green, environmentally friendly production.
At the same time, continue to be a bridge for more Japanese investors to invest in Vinh Phuc, especially in the fields that the province is attracting such as high-tech industry, electronic components, semiconductors; support Vinh Phuc in training human resources for digital economy, circular economy and strengthen support for Vinh Phuc in comprehensive cooperation with the two Japanese provinces that Vinh Phuc is twinned with, Tochigi and Akita.
