VN-Index continues to plummet due to selling pressure from pillar stocks

In the last trading session of October, the stock market was in red, especially in the large-cap group. Pillar stocks continued to be sold off strongly and became a "reverse lever" causing the market to plummet. The VN-Index closed down 29.92 points (-1.79%) to 1,639.65 points.

Market liquidity increased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 979 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND29,611 billion.

Foreign investors continued to sell strongly on all three exchanges, net selling more than 521 billion VND, focusing on codes VIC (234.46 billion VND), VHM (138.16 billion VND), CTG (124.25 billion VND), MBB (115.93 billion VND), HPG (107.66 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included VIX (107.5 billion VND), KDH (81.17 billion VND),FPT (67.12 billion VND), GEX (48.42 billion VND), VRE (48.06 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 24,721 billion.

This session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 3.66 points included: GAS, GVR,ACB , FPT, VNM, DGC, PVD, REE, MSN, CTD.

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index, reducing 23.86 points, included: VIC, VHM, VCB, VJC, HDB, TCB, HVN, VPB, LBP, BID.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks performed positively, increasing by 1.16%, mainly from FPT, CMG, ELC, SBD... Some stocks decreased including ITD, HPT...

The group of securities stocks this session leaned towards red, with a decrease of 1.04%, mainly from codes TCX, SSI, VIX, HCM, SHS, MBS, FUEVFVND, FTS, CTS... On the contrary, a few codes increased including VND, BSI, DSE, TVS, VFS...

Banking stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 1.58%, mainly from codes VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, VPB, MBB, LPB, HDB, STB... The few codes that increased included ACB, BAB...

Real estate stocks this session were in the red and decreased by 4.22%, mainly from codes VIC, VHM, VRE, KSF, BCM, KBC, NVL, CRV, PDR, BXG... On the contrary, the codes that increased included IDC, VCR, SZC, CRE, SCR...

Energy stocks this session were mostly green, up 1%, mainly from codes BSR , PVS, PVD, OIL, PVT, PVP, VTO, PVC, TMB... Declining codes included codes MVB, POS, CCI, AAH, HLC, PMS...

The group of raw material stocks this session leaned towards green, increasing 0.38%, mainly from codes GVR, DGC, MSR, HSG, VIF, ACG, VCS, NKG, HT1, CSV... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included HPG, KSV, DCM, NTP, PHR, DDV...

Insurance stocks traded mainly in green and closed up 0.99%, mainly from codes BVH, PVI, PTI, MIG, PRE, ABI, BLI... Declining stocks included BIC, VNR, BMI ...

Retail stocks performed negatively, down 0.83%, mainly from codes MWG, DGW, HHS, PET, SVC, HTM, CTF, HAX, PEG... On the contrary, increasing codes included FRT, HUT, TLP, VVS, TSC, BTT...

* The Vietnamese stock market index was in red today, VNXALL-Index closed down 54.69 points (-1.9%), down to 2,827.14 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 880.44 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 28,560.07 billion. In the whole market, there were 152 stocks increasing in price, 79 stocks remaining unchanged and 223 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 265.85 points, down 1.11 points (-0.42%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 82.68 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,830 billion. In the whole market, there were 66 stocks increasing in price, 56 stocks remaining unchanged and 92 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 5.2 points (-0.9%) to 573.22 points. Trading volume reached over 61.07 million units, equivalent to over VND1,586.6 billion. In the whole market, there were 10 stocks increasing in price, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 16 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 113.46 points, up 0.04 points (+0.04%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 58.81 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 597.81 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 163 stocks increasing in price, 117 stocks remaining unchanged and 132 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 29.92 points (-1.79%) to 1,639.65 points. Liquidity reached over 846.39 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND27,670 billion. The entire floor had 127 stocks increasing, 54 stocks remaining unchanged and 190 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 39.82 points (-2.07%) and stopped at 1,885.36 points. Liquidity reached more than 323.49 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 14,224.82 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 8 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 21 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are KHG (over 25.28 million units), VND (over 15.03 million units), FPT (over 14.82 million units), PVD (over 12.77 million units), ACB (over 12.74 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are LDG (+6.98%), DCL (+6.98%), BTT (+6.97%), AST (+6.97%), PVD (+6.91%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease are CRV (-7%), GEX (-6.97%), SVC (-6.81%), VIC (-6.42%), CLW (-6.37%).

* Today's derivatives market had 345,783 contracts traded, worth more than VND 65,946.51 billion.
