Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has recently been granted a Certificate of Registration to provide electronic contract authentication services (CeCA) by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy). With the CeCA license, VNPT customers will now have more diverse solutions, better meeting the increasing demand for using electronic contracts for transactions.
After a period of surveying the system to ensure that it best meets the professional criteria and technical standards, and at the same time fully completing the procedures, legal procedures, and technical standards of the service, on June 15, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, VNPT Group was awarded a Certificate of Registration to provide Electronic Contract Certification Service (CeCA - Certified eContract Authority) by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), officially becoming an organization authorized to provide and deploy this type of service.
As a CeCA, VNPT commits to ensuring the process of managing, maintaining, and operating the VNPT eContract electronic contract system, connecting smoothly with the Vietnam Electronic Contract Development Axis; initiating and managing electronic contracts that meet all conditions and standards as prescribed; periodically optimizing and updating the system, building a multi-platform system, creating favorable conditions for users to use electronic contracts.
In addition, VNPT will always closely coordinate with state management agencies to ensure that the implementation, operation, and handling of arising incidents are carried out in accordance with regulations, thereby protecting the rights of electronic contract signatories, facilitating organizations, individuals, and businesses in the digital transformation process, contributing to promoting the national digital transformation policy.
With VNPT's electronic contract authentication solution, businesses, organizations, individuals or third parties will have a trustworthy intermediary agency to resolve issues arising when making electronic contracts. These contracts will also have the ability to look up, authenticate the integrity, non-repudiation of the signatory and ensure information security for the contract content.
It is known that, previously, in June 2022, VNPT had a full demonstration of electronic contract authentication at the announcement ceremony of the Vietnam Electronic Contract Development Axis, receiving high appreciation from agencies and businesses attending the event. Through cooperation with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to develop an electronic contract system, VNPT hopes to strongly promote digital trade, facilitate business activities, develop the market of organizations and businesses, contributing to the country's digital transformation process.
Sharing at the certificate awarding ceremony, a representative of VNPT Group said that VNPT has prepared infrastructure and human resources to be ready to provide electronic contract certification services to customers as soon as the Ministry of Industry and Trade grants a license to confirm service registration. In addition, the Group has also developed the best incentive policies in the initial phase so that customers can experience VNPT's electronic contract service (VNPT eContract) easily and quickly, helping businesses keep up with the global digital transformation trend in general and in Vietnam in particular.
