On May 14, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vingroup signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation to promote the completion of green transformation and digital transformation goals, aiming to contribute to building a green Vietnam.
Accordingly, the two sides will prioritize using each other's services and goods, and jointly promote the development of potential projects.
Specifically, VNPT will provide telecommunications services and information technology solutions designed specifically for all member companies of the Vingroup ecosystem nationwide. VNPT will encourage its members to prioritize using Vingroup products and services, especially service packages designed specifically for VNPT employees, including VinFast electric vehicles to promote green transformation in transportation.
VNPT and Vingroup will cooperate in developing VinFast's charging station system. In particular, VinFast/V-Green prioritizes cooperation in developing charging stations at VNPT branches nationwide, using VNPT's services in construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of charging stations for VinFast electric vehicles domestically and internationally.
Vingroup and its member companies in the Vingroup ecosystem prioritize the use of VNPT's ecosystem of products and services, including but not limited to the following areas: Telecommunications, information technology solutions and digital services, and high-tech industrial manufacturing.
Vingroup prioritizes VNPT/VNPT's member units as partners to cooperate in investing, building infrastructure and providing and exploiting telecommunications and information technology services at all projects invested by Vingroup or its member companies.
Along with that, the two sides actively coordinate to deploy research and development (R&D), technology transfer, and design support for VNPT to participate in the VinFast/VinGroup supply chain with VNPT's strong products and services, including but not limited to the fields of: telecommunications, information technology solutions and digital services, high-tech industrial manufacturing.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of Vingroup said: "Vingroup is fully aware of its responsibility and pioneering role in accompanying the business community in particular and the society in general in the green transformation process. We believe that the cooperation between Vingroup and VNPT will create a synergistic strength, spreading positive values, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese economy firmly into the era of sustainable development."
Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group said that the event not only marked a higher level of development in the bilateral relationship between VNPT - Vingroup but also demonstrated the connection between the country's major economic groups.
The cooperation between Vingroup and VNPT will create positive values for the community, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese economy firmly into the era of sustainable development. I believe that VNPT - Vingroup will have breakthrough steps after today's cooperation agreement," said Mr. Thai.
The signing of this comprehensive cooperation agreement helps VNPT and Vingroup continue to affirm the pioneering spirit, consensus, consistency and common vision of green transformation of the business community, aiming towards the goal of achieving zero net emissions and sustainable development of the country./.
