Improve the quality of publishing books on political theory and Party building

The Truth National Political Publishing House needs to expand international cooperation, search for good books to translate, publish, and introduce to the public and readers.

That was the request of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh during a working session with the National Political Publishing House Truth on the afternoon of May 14.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the results that the National Political Publishing House Truth has achieved in recent times, emphasizing the important position and role of the Publishing House in the ideological and theoretical work of the Party; saying that the Publishing House has affirmed its position as an important theoretical and political publishing agency of the Party and State, playing a core role in carrying out theoretical work, protecting and promoting the ideological foundation of the Party, promoting the achievements of the cause of national construction and innovation...

To meet the requirements of the new situation, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested the Publishing House to continue to perform its functions and tasks well, promote the tradition of solidarity and dedication, strive to complete and excellently complete the political tasks entrusted by the Party and State.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister especially noted that the Publishing House needs to do a better job in editing, translating, organizing publishing, as well as promoting scientific research activities, introducing books, and building a reading culture. Along with that, it is important to focus on increasing the attractiveness of each product and publication. The attractiveness and appeal of a publishing house is created by the publications themselves; good publications will highlight the name and reputation of the publisher.

The quality of editorial work also needs to be further improved; errors in editing should not occur, especially for important books on politics and political commentary, thereby contributing to bringing high-quality publications to the public.

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended the launching ceremony of "President Ho Chi Minh Electronic Bookshelf" at the Truth National Political Publishing House.

The bookcase includes 135 valuable books, rich in genres and diverse in content, contributing to clarifying and deepening Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Each work is not only a valuable document, a research work with theoretical and practical significance on the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, but also a profound lesson for today's and future generations in cultivating morality, training personality, promoting patriotism, and the will to strive to overcome difficulties following the example of President Ho Chi Minh.

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Tri Tue awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court to 1 collective and 11 individuals of the Publishing House with outstanding achievements in publishing the book "History of the People's Court of Vietnam" and awarded the Medal for the Court Career to the staff of the National Political Publishing House Truth./.

The Truth National Political Publishing House is a public service unit of the Party Central Committee, under the direct and regular leadership of the Secretariat, with the function of publishing theoretical and political works of the Party and State.

Over the years, the Publishing House has published many theoretical and political books and series of books with theoretical and practical value, making an important contribution to the dissemination, dissemination and implementation of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, improving the political level and awareness of cadres, party members and people; firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, serving the cause of building and developing the country in the direction of socialism.

In addition, the Truth National Political Publishing House is one of the leading units in electronic publishing activities. In parallel with editing and publishing traditional paper books, in recent times, the Publishing House has focused on developing e-books, audiobooks, and multimedia books to widely convey the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life.

In 4 years, from 2021-2024, the Publishing House has edited and published 2,335 paper books with 27,723,990 printed copies; 1,008 e-books.
