A special 'fashion show' by Haute Couture designer Julien Fournié

Renowned French Haute Couture designer Julien Fournié brings a collection inspired by 1990s cinema, comics and music with lots of fun.

Participating in the opening night of Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 is designer Julien Fournié from France. He is one of the 10 Haute Couture designers worldwide .

The organizers said this is the second time designer Julien Fournié has come to Vietnam. He previously performed at Vietnam International Fashion Week in 2015.

Ten years later, he returned with a new role as a Haute Couture designer officially recognized by the Fédération de la Haute Couture (France).

This time, Julien Fournié brings the First Circus collection that recreates a vibrant childhood, inspired by cinema, comics and music of the 1990s.

Many characters come from movies

First Circus is likened to a fashion show because each design is a character, each catwalk step is a chapter of the story.

Audiences get to see gorgeous manga princesses, 1990s superheroes, circus clowns… all expressed in the language of haute couture.

The highlight of the show was the moment when the models danced to the fun music, twirled, posed and interacted with the audience right on the catwalk.

The Face Vietnam 2023 champion Huynh Tu Anh took on the role of closing the collection. She is one of the international models who have performed at fashion weeks in Paris and Milan.

Through this collection, the designer hopes to convey the message "people live true to their passion and imagination, creating their own difference and shine".

Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 takes place for 4 days, from June 5 to 8, at Nguyen Du Stadium (HCMC) with unique collections from famous domestic and international designers.

Today, June 6, designers Cao Minh Tien, Ha Nhat Tien, Vuong Khang... and designer Behati (Malaysia) presented their new collection.
