The play "Two Mothers" was a huge success, and People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi was moved to congratulate Cat Tuong and Dao Van Anh.

On the evening of June 26th, the closing ceremony of the 2024 Drama Festival, organized by the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, took place at the Viet Bac Folk Music and Dance Theatre in Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province, concluding after 15 days of competition.

The festival brought together nearly 1,000 artists, actors, and staff from 19 art organizations and 23 plays.

At the end of the festival, the organizing committee awarded gold medals to three plays: "White Night" (Vietnam National Drama Theatre), "Circle of Betrayal" ( Hanoi Drama Theatre), and "Catching the Demon" (Hai Phong Drama Troupe).

The festival organizers also awarded silver medals to 5 plays, including "Two Mothers" by Trinh Kim Chi Theatre; gold medals to 32 actors and silver medals to 49 actors; and outstanding creative awards, including: Outstanding Author (Chu Lai, for the play "The Circle of Betrayal", Hanoi Drama Theatre), Outstanding Director (Tran Luc, for the play "The Doll", LucTeam Theatre), Outstanding Set Designer (Do Doan Bang, for the play "The Waterfront of Time", Youth Theatre).

Besides the Silver Medal for the play "Two Mothers," the individual awards for "Two Mothers" were also given to: Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), artist Dao Van Anh (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), actor Nam Cuong (Silver Medal for the role of Sang), and actress Truc Ly (Silver Medal for the role of Thuong).

In his concluding remarks at the Festival, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong stated that the Festival had fostered creativity and closely addressed issues of contemporary life, reflecting the strengths of spoken drama. The Festival summarized many changes in spoken drama, showcasing many new elements in both content and form.

Besides the Silver Medal for the play "Two Mothers," the production team also won individual awards: Meritorious Artist Cát Tường (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), and artist Đào Vân Anh (Gold Medal for the role of the mother).

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi expressed her delight at the achievements of the creative team and also stated that after participating in the festival, she will organize a promotional event for the play in Ho Chi Minh City.
