Depending on physical condition and interests, practitioners can choose different disciplines. Currently, Thai Nguyen maintains and develops 10 martial arts disciplines within the system of the Provincial Martial Arts Federation, including: Wushu taolu, Wushu sanda, Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing, Traditional Martial Arts, Muay, Kickboxing, Vovinam and Jujitsu.
Notably, Jujitsu, a modern martial art that focuses on self-defense techniques, officially joined the Federation in the first 6 months of 2025, with 70 athletes and 2 coaches.
The development of the movement is also evidenced by the emergence of training points, martial arts classes and martial arts schools throughout the province. To date, Thai Nguyen has about 200 martial arts clubs and classes with more than 15,000 martial arts students practicing daily. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the Provincial Martial Arts Federation has developed 50 new clubs, attracting nearly 9,000 new martial arts students.
A notable highlight is the introduction of martial arts into schools, from primary to secondary and university levels. The province currently has more than 100 educational institutions that have been actively implementing martial arts training.
Martial arts clubs in schools create a healthy playground for students, contributing to moral education, lifestyle, physical improvement and solidarity in schools.
To meet the increasing demand for training, many individuals and organizations have boldly invested in building spacious facilities and modern equipment, ensuring safety and meeting standards for training and competition.
According to the assessment of the Thai Nguyen Province Martial Arts Federation: Most martial arts training facilities operate stably, comply with State regulations on martial arts management, creating a solid foundation for developing the movement in a professional and sustainable direction.

Not only training and improving physical strength, the martial arts movement in Thai Nguyen also contributes to enriching cultural and spiritual life at the grassroots level.
Martial arts clubs regularly participate in performances serving local cultural, political and sporting events. Martial arts performances at the opening ceremony of the new school year, Phu Dong Sports Festival or major events of the province always attract the attention of students, parents and the community.
Especially at the end of April, the martial arts exchange program between Vietnam and North Korea was held at the provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, the martial arts masters and fighters of the province's traditional martial arts left a deep impression on international friends.
The martial arts movement in Thai Nguyen province has been developing deeply, widely and with a clear direction. From expanding the training network, investing in the coaching staff, upgrading facilities, to organizing exchanges, performances and competitions. All are aimed at making martial arts a sustainable part of the physical and spiritual life of the people. Contributing to improving the quality of the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
