On April 23, 2025, in Singapore, Vietnam Ocean Shipping Joint Stock Company (VOSCO) officially received the bulk carrier Vosco Sunlight (formerly Teleri-M). This continues to be an important step in VOSCO's strategy of expanding its fleet and improving its transport capacity in 2025.
Vosco Sunlight is a Supramax bulk carrier, 55,851 DWT, built in 2013 in Japan, with technical condition meeting the requirements for unrestricted exploitation on international routes, helping the Company to be more flexible in exploiting new transport routes and with higher efficiency.
The acquisition of Vosco Sunlight is part of the largest fleet expansion plan in VOSCO's history, marking the Company's strong comeback after more than a decade of not investing in new ships. In early 2025, the Company also received the delivery of the VOSCO Starlight, a 55,868 DWT vessel built in 2011 in Japan.
VOSCO has always focused on and considered the fleet development plan in a suitable and selective manner as one of the top priorities to improve transport capacity, competitiveness and business efficiency as well as continue to provide customers with safe, reliable and efficient transport services with superior quality. Following the Supramax bulk carrier projects - in 2025, VOSCO plans to implement other major investment projects including new construction investment or resale or purchase of used Ultramax bulk carriers with a capacity of about 66,000 DWT, MR product oil tankers with a capacity of about 50,000 DWT and container ships of more than 1,000 TEUs.
