In the first quarter of 2025, Huegatex recorded revenue of VND 513 billion, completing 25% of the annual plan. Pre-tax profit reached VND 39 billion, reaching 28% of the annual plan. Average income per employee reached VND 11.86 million/month, up 15.8% over the same period last year. Despite many pressures from the export market, the enterprise still maintained a stable production pace and improved operational efficiency, partly thanks to a practical management strategy and consensus from the workforce.

Along with production and business activities, investment activities continue to be focused on. Key projects such as the construction of a 3-storey Garment Factory, an automatic fire prevention and fighting system at the yarn factory and in-depth investment in sewing equipment are being implemented on schedule, laying the foundation for sustainable development in the coming years.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Lien, member of the Board of Directors (BOD) and General Director of Huegatex, commented: “The coming period will be full of challenges due to the impact of increasingly strict US tariff policies and uncertainties in global trade. However, we have proactively built flexible response scenarios, not to fall into a passive position.”

Based on the market situation and the volume of signed orders, Huegatex sets a target of achieving revenue of VND 528 billion in the second quarter of 2025, pre-tax profit of VND 36 billion, and expected export turnover of USD 32 million.

To realize this goal, the company has implemented synchronous solutions, closely followed market information, restructured orders, increased labor productivity, reduced costs, and expanded to new markets, researching products suitable for global consumption trends. The company has also increased negotiations with strategic customers, proactively accepting backup orders to spread risks from the US market.

Promote internal strength

According to General Director Nguyen Hong Lien, to compete sustainably, we must start with people. “Huegatex does not consider machinery and technology as the only factor to increase productivity, but focuses on synchronizing the organizational model, improving processes and people - the central factor of every development strategy,” Ms. Lien affirmed.

With that spirit, Huegatex focuses on investing in training its team and developing its successor human resources through the “Young Talent” program, a model aimed at building a generation of young engineers and managers with technological thinking, foreign languages and a spirit of innovation. In recent times, the company has also organized internal training and cooperated with educational institutions to provide in-depth training in the fiber and textile industry. This is preparation for the long haul, when the market increasingly places high demands on technology and quality.

The digital transformation program at Huegatex has also been implemented in a systematic and practical manner. The company has applied an overall management software system (ERP) to help connect and coordinate the entire supply chain - from input materials, production to delivery. Tools such as sewing process management software, smart warehouse system and production map (linemap) are integrated synchronously, helping to increase order processing speed, reduce errors, save costs and improve productivity. These steps not only help optimize costs and trace product origin but also meet high standards from the US and European markets - places that are tightening requirements on emissions, green production and supply chain transparency.

In the face of forecasts that the textile and garment industry will continue to experience many fluctuations, Huegatex remains steadfast in its production and business goals for 2025, achieving revenue of VND 2,070 billion, up 3%; pre-tax profit of VND 140 billion, up 2%; ensuring an average income of over VND 10 million/person/month for employees. The consistent spirit is to proactively adapt, be flexible and creative, and strengthen internal resources. “With the decisive participation of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, along with the support of all officers and employees, we believe we can overcome the challenges ahead and achieve the set goals,” Ms. Lien emphasized.

Speaking at the recent Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Huegatex, Mr. Le Tien Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, said that Huegatex is one of the group's top 5 enterprises. Not exempt from the common difficulties of the textile and garment industry, Huegatex has maintained its growth rate thanks to its ability to exploit and promote its internal strengths. From digital transformation, optimizing operations to product development, these efforts are helping the enterprise build "antibodies" against fluctuations in the international market.

Mr. Le Tien Truong emphasized that in the context of an increasingly unpredictable business environment, maintaining a stable plan is not easy. Enterprises that want to stand firm must emphasize flexibility in operations and be ready to adapt to fluctuations to maintain an active position in the market.
