World silver prices opened slightly up at the beginning of the week
The spot silver price in the Asian market opened the first session of the week on December 8 at 58.29 USD/ounce. After about two hours of trading, the world silver price increased by 0.24 USD/ounce, reaching 58.54 USD/ounce.
Silver prices hit a record high amid falling inventories, rising investment demand and concerns about a possible supply crunch. The silver rally has also led to gains in other precious metals, including gold, platinum and diamonds.
Even copper prices have surpassed the $11,000/tonne mark, reflecting positive sentiment in the commodity market amid the risk of supply shortages.

Experts predict silver prices could reach $95/ounce
Mr. Clem Chambers, CEO of Online Blockchain PLC, commented that the silver price increase is only in the early stages. He predicted that silver prices could head towards the $95/ounce mark.
According to Mr. Chambers, the commodity market is entering a period of structural change, as demand for silver for industrial production and technology continues to expand. He said that the supply of silver is very limited, which makes it easy for silver prices to rebound sharply when the market tightens.
The main driver for the next rally in silver prices is believed to come from the demand for solar cells, electronic components and green energy. If the scenario of silver prices reaching $95/ounce happens, a $1,000 investment at the present time could grow to about $1,640.
